I've just come across your blog from the homeone forum. Your house is certainly taking shape - how exciting! I try to find blogs of people building at Mernda as our house will start there next month. We are in Mernda Villages lot 501. I can never tell from the photos if people are in Mernda Villages or Riverdale! We currently live East so a move for us but one I'm eager to do! Husband works at Heidleberg West so a 20min trip in peak hour for him once we move as opposed to a hour and a quarter that he does now. Also, really want a new house again and a bigger one. We last built 11 years ago. Are you moving far?
Hi, We are building in Mernda Villages as well. We are in the Rivergum release near Masons Lane. The process has been exciting, and a bit frustrating at times - but well worth it. We went out for a look yesterday and there does not seem to have been too much progress over the past week - so hopefully next week there will be heaps:) My husband works in preston and i work in rosanna so for us it is a smallish commute as well from Mernda. We use to live in Greensborough (currently renting in Rosanna) so Mernda is quite close for us! Looking foward to seeing your progress as well! jeanene
Hi Jeanene, Yes I worked out where you were the other night by the photos, you're up and over to the left from us, I know your park! Nice spot. Good not to have to travel too far for work, makes life that little bit easier. We go to contract this coming Thursday and house should start three weeks after that. They (PD) say should be finished by end of November, we don't actually want to move in until the kids finish school but it will be good to have those weeks for painting, flooring and moving some small stuff in. I'll be heading to Mernda this weekend so I'll go and check our your house. Take care, Toni
